MPs are about to be given a vote on prisoners voting rights in time to meet the November deadline imposed by the Strasbourg European Court of Human Rights in May. Chris Grayling is proposing three options for MPs to vote on. adsense banned . What utter nonsense! Surely if you break the law and are found guilty resulting in a prison sentence, all rights you had to take part in electing a government are forfeit.
Why on earth would prisoners expect to be able to take part in the political process, whilst they are serving their sentence? Absolute madness to even suggest such a thing. These people have elected to transgress societies rules, I see no reason then for society to allow them to take an active part in how that society is governed.
